In 2008 the choice seemed clear cut - Obama vs Bush. The USA chose the brave route, chose to stand for something. It perhaps turns out that that statement, that stand was "it doesn't matter what colour your politician is - the fact that he's a politician" Voters are now as disenchanted with Obamas' inaction as they were with the ineptness of Bush - The more things change . . . . . . . . .

No Cure for Cancer
I have recently quit smoking - 4 weeks now without cigarettes. They are ALL RIGHT - it's a hardship, you need tonnes of support and quite a straight mind. Advice from people who've given up fagging is seemingly endless - TAKE IT.
Myself, well I've recently discovered that there is a person out there that i like a lot more than others - I have her picture on my phone, each time I get the weakness real bad, i look at her picture and ask myself "would M want me to be a smoker?"
I won't ever be a smoker again!

- Mia Hansen-LøveGrégoire, a Parisian film producer, has it all — a beautiful wife, three adorable daughters, wealth and a buzzing career. On the surface he seems invincible, maintaining humor and charm as he tirelessly juggles the demands of his production company with his family's needs. But when Grégoire's reserves — both financial and emotional — reach a dramatic breaking point, his family's love and resilience istested. Winner of the Un Certain Regard Special Jury Prize at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival and featured at the Toronto and London Film Festivals, THE FATHER OF MY CHILDREN is an extraordinarilyperceptive new drama from emerging young talent Mia Hansen-Love, and a deeply moving portrait of family in tumult."Haunting, amazing… needs to be seen by cinephiles at all costs."Jesse Hawthorne Ficks, SF Bay Guardian"Oddly beautiful and complex."Michael Koresky, indieWIRE"INSIGHTFUL, MATURE, AND‘ EXTREMELY ACCOMPLISHED ..HAS BRAINS T0 SPARE...GUARANTEED NOT TO LEAVE A DRY EYE IN THE HOUSE"Jonathan Romney, SCREEN INTERNATIONAL
